Privacy Policy
Sianna's Lullabies ("the App") is a bedtime app for lullabies, white noise, nursery rhymes, and short stories. We designed the App so your family's audio and preferences stay on your iPhone whenever possible.
Summary
- No account is required to use the App.
- Favorites, recently played items, and sleep timer preferences are stored on your device.
- Bedtime stories use Apple Personal Voice, which you create and manage in iPhone Settings.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the App.
Information we collect
The App does not require you to create an account and does not ask for your name, email address, or phone number to play audio.
The following information is stored locally on your device using Apple's on-device storage:
- Favorites you mark (item ID and collection type)
- Recently played tracks and stories (title and play time)
- Your default sleep timer preference (if you set one)
- Catalog version information (to know when content was last checked)
This on-device data is not transmitted to us as part of normal App use. If you delete the App, this local data is removed with the App unless iOS backup or device transfer mechanisms preserve it.
Apple Personal Voice
Story narration uses Apple Personal Voice, a feature provided by Apple in Settings → Accessibility → Personal Voice. Personal Voice is created, stored, and controlled by Apple on your device. Sianna's Lullabies requests permission to use Personal Voice only so it can read bedtime stories in the voice you created. We do not upload, store, or receive copies of your Personal Voice on our servers.
After you create the voice and turn on Allow Apps to Request to Use, open Sianna and tap Allow Sianna so iPhone can grant this app access. Settings alone does not finish that step. Apple's handling of Personal Voice is governed by Apple's privacy policy and your device settings.
Audio playback
Lullabies, white noise, and nursery rhymes are bundled with the App or loaded from a catalog file. Playback continues in the background when your phone is locked. The App uses Apple's audio APIs for playback and lock-screen controls. No voice recordings are sent over the internet for story playback.
Catalog updates (optional)
The App may check for updated bedtime content (titles, descriptions, and audio file references) from a catalog service. Only catalog metadata and media bundled or referenced by the catalog may be downloaded. Voice data and your favorites are not included in catalog sync. If no server is configured, the App uses the catalog bundled with the installation.
Children's privacy
The App is intended for families and bedtime use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the App. Because no account is required and preferences stay on-device, parents control use of the App on their child's device through normal iOS parental controls and device settings.
Data sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may disclose information only if required by law or to protect our rights.
Your choices
- Remove favorites or reset preferences inside the App.
- Turn off or remove Personal Voice in iPhone Settings.
- Delete the App to remove locally stored preferences.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
